Calling all Skiers and Snowboarders! The Snowsports
Academy is our seasonal alpine adventure programme, developing your skills so
you can be the best skier and snowboarder possible.
If you are aged between 4-17 yrs old, and you’re an
intermediate/advanced skier or snowboarder (there will be no Level 1 classes offered with this programme), then this
is the programme for you!
We
will build on your skills and confidence and take you to a whole new level of
greatness, in a fun and open atmosphere.
Participants will ski or snowboard with the same Instructor (in the event of an Instructors injury/illness, a replacement Instructor will be arranged) and a group of similar age and ability each Sunday (to the best of our professional ability).
The Snowsports Academy squads are: Freeride, Race or
Freestyle – you choose the one that you love and want to train for the winter.
Price & Duration

Every Sunday for 10 weeks –
Starting the 14th of July 2019 ( Our scheduled opening date is the 28th of June.)
·
Full Day - $525 - 5hrs on snow 9am
– 3pm – lunch break 12-1pm
·
Half Day - $385 - 3hrs on snow 9am-
12pm
Please note that Students on the Half Day programme may not progress in ability as quickly as the Full Day students. Movements between groups may need to be made during the season if ability levels differ greatly.

The 3 Snowsports Academy squad options are:
Freeride (Skiers aged 4-17yrs and
Snowboarders 8-17yrs)
The
Freeride squad’s focus is to make you the best all round, all mountain skier or
snowboarder possible. We’ll explore all that Rainbow has to offer with its
terrain, show you the best spots on the mountain all while building on your
confidence and skill.

Freestyle (Skiers and Snowboarders 8-17yrs)
The
Freestyle Squad is 100% freestyle focused. Using natural features and or park
features we’ll get you throwing down new tricks, from boxes to rails and
everything in between while you shred Rainbow.
To
be part of this squad you must already have some freestyle experience and be a
confident all mountain skier or snowboarder.

Race - Ski only (skiers 8-17yrs)
The
Race Team is 100% race focused, we’ll use a combination of training in and out
of gates to improve your technique, skill and confidence over the duration of
winter. This will be perfect for those who want to compete in club or school
events.
We
encourage all our athletes to participate in as many events as possible to
experience the thrill of the competition atmosphere.

NOTE:
·
Helmets are required to participate
in the Rainbow Snowsports Academy.
·
Programme fees do not cover lift
passes or rental equipment.
·
We require a minimum of 4
registrations per group for that group to proceed, if we have fewer than the
minimum required the timing of the programme would change appropriately.
·
A monetary refund will only occur
in the case of injury or illness with a doctor’s certificate.
·
All cancellations will be subject
to a $25 administration fee, in the form of a Rainbow credit voucher. Any
cancellations within 24hrs prior to the programme starting will not be eligible
for credit.
